Worship at Pulpit Rock

guitarAt Pulpit Rock we want to help people journey with God.

That journey begins when we find acceptance with God through Jesus Christ. That journey continues as we choose to believe that what God says about us is more important than any other voice.

Our worship services give us an opportunity to declare that truth. To choose each week to believe again in the amazing love of God. And in doing do, we are inspired to live out that journey the rest of our week.

We hear this message through the words of the Bible as well as the words we sing. Singing is an act of declaration, as we sing out words we believe are true, hope are true, and need to be true. So the ministry of worship and the word are partners in the service.

This year we are walking in that partnership by inviting different people to lead us in the word and worship.

While our Senior Pastor is our lead teacher, we believe God will speak through other voices that teach, as well as our time of reflection where we invite God himself to speak directly to us.

In the same way, we have invited two people to lead us in worship, Kevin Matthews and Morgan Testrake. (Get to know them.) They lead our volunteer worship ministry under the direction of Nick Thacker. These three partner with our pastors to bring us a worship services that invites us to declare what God says about us, that we might find faith and inspiration for the journey.

Oh. One more thing. We are always looking for more partners in our worship area.  If you would like to get involved, please contact Nick.
