The Search for Truth

We hope you’ll read 1 John with us this month! Find the Reading Plan here.

Preston Shoop, 12th Grade: 1 John 2 & John 3:31-36

“But the anointing which ye have received of Him abideth in you, and ye need not that any man teach you: but as the same anointing teacheth you of all things, and is truth, and is no lie, and even as it hath taught you, ye shall abide in Him.”  ‭‭- 1 John‬ ‭2:27‬ ‭ KJV

I found this verse very comforting. As a believer, I frequently find myself searching deeper for Truth when I feel my knowledge has been tested.

Reading that despite the contradictions and unknowns that I approach, the Lord is within me and is guiding my search for Truth fills me with determination and confidence that I am on track with God’s Word and will grow in spirit as I continue to explore.
