How You Loved Our City in 2020

January 26, 2021 | Written by Rowland Smith

If you’ve been part of the Pulpit Rock community for any amount of time, then you know that our heart is for the city, for neighborhoods, and for the people that live in Colorado Springs.

Our heartbeat is to reveal the Kingdom of God to others, not just in words, but in deeds and display of what the Kingdom should look like in people’s lives.

One of the partnerships we are deeply connected to is with COSILoveYou, an organization that intentionally connects the churches of Colorado Springs with people, businesses, and government to bring about this display of the Kingdom in tangible ways.

Where in many cities the church often struggles to have meaningful conversations and partnerships with government and non faith-based organizations, COSILoveYou acts as an ambassador for the churches in our city, helping us partner in purposeful ways.

Our partnership with COSILoveYou was very meaningful in 2020, in spite of the challenges of the pandemic, and in some ways because of it. We continue, with your help practically and financially, to do great work with other churches and organizations in our city via COSILoveYou!

There were countless projects that many of you had part in personally, or that your giving to Pulpit Rock went toward in 2020, in partnership with other churches.

These include opportunities like CityServe Daywhere 2,175 volunteers came together to serve at 83 project sites all over the city, and Backpack Bashwhere 7,224 backpacks were distributed to kids from 6 different Colorado Springs school districts.

Thank you for being a generous and loving community to our city!

Together we are making a difference in people’s lives and we’re so grateful to serve others alongside you. Looking forward to great things in 2021 with you and COSILoveYou!
