We are thrilled to introduce our incredible Summer 2026 interns, Alden Weathers and Ashlan Robinson! Throughout the summer, these two will be investing in the lives of our PRiSM students, building relationships, serving alongside our team, and bringing their unique gifts and passions to ministry.
Take a moment to get to know them below, and if you see them around campus this summer, be sure to say hello and introduce yourself! We are excited to have Alden and Ashlan with us and can’t wait to see the impact their hearts for God and students will make in our PRiSM community.
Hi I’m Ashlan!
I have lived in Colorado Springs my whole life! I just graduated from Rampart High School and am headed to Colorado State University this fall to study Psychology. I am hoping to receive my master’s degree there to become a Marriage and Family Therapist! In my free time I love reading, cuddling with my dog, binge-watching Netflix, trying new foods, and spending time outdoors. I am also obsessed with the dirty Dr. Pepper (Dr. Pepper with creamer and coconut syrup). During my summer internship at Pulpit Rock, I am most excited to create more meaningful relationships with the students here and grow deeper in my relationship with God as well.
Recently, I think the most prominent thing God has been teaching me is to embrace discomfort. I’ve been challenged to realize that, sometimes, we grow the most when pushed out of our comfort zone and faced with experiences that seem daunting. This has been a reoccurring lesson in my life over this past year, and I’ve seen how it has led me to trust God even when everything else in life seems uncertain.

Hi I’m Alden!
Hi Pulpit Rock! I’m Alden, I’m one of the summer interns here again. I used to live in Colorado, and we moved to Jacksonville, Florida four years ago to be closer to family. I just finished up my first year at the Universiry of North Florida. I love singing and messing around with music, hiking, animals, and laughing with people.
I’m really excited to be doing this for a second year in a row, I think it’ll be really awesome to have that sort of ground work laid down already from last year. And I’m just excited to be in Colorado and at Pulpit Rock!
Something I think God’s been teaching me is using my time better. My sister is going to college in Michigan next fall (which is epic don’t get me wrong), and especially once I knew I’d be gone this summer, it was hard knowing we had a few weeks of the school year and then about a week and a half when I get back to Florida. The reason it’s a teaching moment is because, honestly, I didn’t do great! Sometimes I’d find myself trying to not think about next fall, or overall avoiding something so new and uncomfortable.
So yeah, I’ve been trying to look more at the good and bad parts of how I think about time and how I actually use it, both for these next few months in particular and in general.
