What do you do at Pulpit Rock?
I oversee the Nursery and Preschool programs.  I ensure that the children have a fun and safe environment, and that they are happy and being well taken care of.  This allows their parents time to attend church services and grow in the Pulpit Rock community.   I love being with children and I feel lucky to have this opportunity to cuddle, hug and play with them as they  start their first journey with Jesus and a church community.

What did you do before you joined our staff?
I had various jobs and retired from School District 11.  My favorite role was working in the Community Education department where I created classes and events for people of all ages from infants to senior citizens to give them an opportunity to join our school community.

An interesting thing about you is…
My family is my most important treasure.  I have four children and 10 grandchildren (age 5-21).  I love spending time with all of them together.  We are fortunate to be able to share many adventures including travel, holidays, birthdays, and many visits just for fun.  We are together as often as possible enjoying each other’s company and helping each other in any way that we can!  For many years we were a foster family for newborn babies who we brought home from the hospital to be loved, cuddled and cared for while they were waiting to be placed in their forever home! I just can’t get enough of cuddles and hugs from little ones.

What do you like to do in your free time?
I love sewing. My favorite projects include wedding dresses, quilts (some made from well-loved t-shirts) and memory bears (made from a loved ones’s clothing).  I always have a project waiting for me.  It is a relaxing fun way to create something others can treasure.
