FORMATION
Formation Roundtable
Monthly Gathering: October 18th | 10:30am
What is Spiritual Formation? It’s a process that opens us up to becoming who we are in Christ, formed through the practices, relationships, and experiences we return to again and again. This fall we’ll gather once a month around the table to practice and share how the Holy Spirit is working in our lives, and you’ll walk away with resources for personal exploration.
The Liturgy of Hours
Liturgy: a daily practice
This practice has us pause multiple times through the day to connect and become aware of God’s presence. There is a Morning moment – a Midday moment – and an Evening moment. The purpose is 3 times a day there is a moment where you connect with the God who is actively present with you… and you pause to welcome his presence for a few minutes.
Helpful Relationship Questions
Questions: a weekly practice
One of the ways we love each other well, and are led by the Spirit, is by asking and answering intentional, grace-filled questions.
The Holy Spirit Wheel
Spiritual Wheel: a monthly practice
This resource gives us language to describe what we’re experiencing as the Spirit works in different ways within us. The innermost circle highlights the core ways the Spirit moves, the next ring offers further description of that work, and the outer ring reflects how that work may feel in our everyday lives.
Personal Asset-Based Appreciative Inquiry
PABAI: a yearly practice
This resource helps us intentionally notice and appreciate what is already present and working so that we can build on what God has given us. Then we can consider what course corrections would align my life to participate in God’s project of remaking this world so that it is characterized by love.
