Something very exciting is happening at the end of this month.
It’s called CityServe and Pulpit Rock is a part of it this year!
This is a day when thousands of Christ-followers in Colorado Springs can give hands and feet to the gospel message.
This is a day when people from all different communities in our city come together to serve alongside one another at public schools, parks, local businesses and non-profit organizations in an effort to beautify, rebuild and restore.
This is a no strings attached day of service and our motivation is simple … when a city prospers so do it’s people.
Last year, approximately 1,500 volunteers contributed 5,000 hours of volunteer service to the city of Colorado Springs saving the the city an estimated $115,000. Some of those 1,500 people were groups from Pulpit Rock … remember this?
If you’ve attended Pulpit Rock for any amount of time, you’ll know we spend a lot of time talking about loving our city. We are proud of our home and believe we are located where we are – smack dab in the center of it – for a specific purpose. We want to see our city flourish and believe we have an important role to play in making that happen.
CityServe is a great way to do something real to make our city better.
It’s a chance to show our city that, though often Christians are known for our divisiveness, we can do unity well.
Though me may worship differently, we love and serve the same God.
Though we might not agree on everything, we do agree on the passion to love Colorado Springs.
