On October 3rd, we joined forces with CityServe for the Fall CityServe Day, a LoveYourNeighbor bed build. A big group of volunteers showed up ready to work, and the energy was contagious from the first measured cut. Drills whirred, hammers rang, and teams passed pieces down the line. By the end of the day, together we had built 20 twin beds.
The reason behind it all is simple: every child deserves a comfortable place to sleep. Many families in our community don’t have one, and a bed means more than furniture. It means rest, safety, and a space to call their own. Knowing that made every bolt we tightened feel meaningful.
Another COSILoveYou Fall CityServe Day is officially in the books! We are so grateful to all the volunteers who came out to support our mission to serve families in need of a comfortable bed to sleep in. It’s community support like this that makes what we do possible.
Thank you to CityServe for organizing the day, and to everyone who gave their time, energy, and a Saturday to love their neighbors in a practical way. We can’t wait to see what we build together next.
