Position Summary: This position provides leadership and direction for the weekly Sunday morning 56 program (5th & 6th grade students) as well as assists the Student and Family Pastor.
Position Reports To: Student & Family Pastor
Times and Hours: This is a contracted stipend role, estimated at 10 hrs a week.
Leadership of 56 Program
- Lead 56 student programming on a weekly basis as well as help with events, retreats, and camps for 56 students
- Oversee the implementation of curriculum for both the large group and small group teaching environments for 56.
- Support the Student and Family Pastor in recruiting and overseeing volunteers for 56 by providing leadership, support, training, and appreciation.
- Connect with students and their families regularly.
General Expectations
- Check-ins with Student & Family Pastor (weekly)
- Capacity and passion to understand and relate to students and their families and a desire to see families grow in their faith together.
- Competency with basic computer software (Excel, Word, Publisher)
- Capacity to learn new software (Ministry Tracker, Planning Center, Canva, others).
- Effective communication skills (written, verbal and interpersonal).
