What do you do at Pulpit Rock?
I help oversee the stewardship of some of our key resources – finances and facilities – as we seek to leverage what we’ve been given to impact the Kingdom. This includes administrative oversight, bookkeeping, communication, operational direction and strategy, human resources, and engaging in our partnership with the school (who leases from us).
What did you do before you joined our staff?
I’ve been on staff at Pulpit Rock since 2012, where I started part-time as a Finance Assistant. Before that, I spent 17 years working in various areas of finance and business management for a real estate development company.
An interesting thing about you is…
I grew up in a town with a population of 87 and only ever had one childhood home. In fact, my parents still reside in that house and it’s been almost 52 years! I also spent the summer between my junior and senior year in high school with a singing group traveling across the country.
What do you like to do in your free time?
I enjoy interior design and dabble in a little house staging from time to time. Hitting up garage sales, antique stores, vintage boutiques, or bargain hunting is a day well spent, especially when coupled with time with friends. I love quick getaways with my husband and kids and watching sports of all kinds (but the Kansas City Chiefs will have most of my heart). And on a snowy, wintry day, you might find me working on a puzzle with the fireplace going, some good music on tap and a cup of hot cocoa in hand!
