What do you do at Pulpit Rock?
I steer and oversee the direction of our congregation. That means I collaborate with our elders and staff to listen to God and step into everything he says for our community of faith.

What did you do before you joined our staff?
I’ve been at Pulpit Rock (in various roles) since 2004. Before that I was a young adult pastor at a church in Tucson, Arizona.

An interesting thing about you is…

• I had a speaking role in a nationally aired TV commercial for the University of Northern Colorado. I said: “I can talk to my professors.”  Some said I delivered the line like a young Morgan Freeman… but unfortunately I failed to win any awards for my part.
• I volunteer with our partner The Exodus Road and I’m passionate about the fight to end human trafficking.
• My wife (Becky) does headstands wherever we go – I have a folder on my computer that is just pictures of her doing headstands in cool places (like the Grand Canyon, Ethiopia, a paddle board… you get the idea).
• I’m the youngest of 3 boys and I have 3 boys.

What do you like to do in your free time?
I love to travel. I spend a lot of time with friends. I’m kind of a foodie. I listen to a lot of music (right now I can’t stop listening to John Moreland).
