Hello church family!
My transition into all things Tirzah has been going so well! And I have thoroughly enjoyed the opportunity to just sit with you in church. What a big change this has all been. God has been good.
Whether in leadership at Pulpit Rock or at Tirzah, stewarding that partnership over these last few years has been so meaningful and I’m really excited to share some amazing updates with you around the impact your giving has made.
I’ve heard from our dear friends at Khushbu Studios in New Delhi, India. Our women got to meet this incredible group led by Jen and Victoria when we visited them last year. You may recall we’ve had some of their handicrafts for sale in the Gathering Place on a few occasions.
Well they just let me know that because of support from partners like Pulpit Rock Church, Khushbu has moved from being a nonprofit NGO, to a sole proprietorship, to an international private limited company. They are no longer fully reliant upon outside funds! Though funds like this are exactly what helped them maximize their impact and helped them grow the company into a sustainable organization, we always want to be moving in this exact direction of no longer being totally reliant on them. Khushbu is moving in that direction and is currently close to becoming COMPLETELY self-sufficient in the areas of hiring new women, paying their employees complete salaries and buying their own equipment.
This is such an exciting new season for this Kingdom-minded group of women that make up Khushbu.
They have grown to employ 8 women at their artisan center and 2 women they have outsourced to work from home. Their community outreach has grown to 15 women who gather weekly, and they had an additional 40 women travel to them from the urban village nearby to participate in a two-day women’s health clinic they put on to raise awareness around women’s health and mental health.
Most of the women they serve have never had any formal education and come from low socioeconomic statuses. But, through the Khushbu community that you help support, these women have the opportunity to be developed as leaders in their families and in their communities, they have become trusted sources of support to those in need around them, their kids have been able to move to English medium elementary and secondary schools and two of their kids have even started college!
You have been directly involved in breaking generational poverty, among so many other amazing things that God is doing through your generous support of Tirzah India!

This year we expand to include Tirzah South Africa where we will witness more of these life changing efforts in a region that desperately needs it. Tirzah supports a woman in leadership there named Minah who, just like Jen and Victoria of Khushbu, has a deep sense of calling to her community and is making a difference in the context of big global issues like poverty, gender-based violence and HIV/AIDS through her leadership of a community center called Beautiful Gate.
We are planning a Pulpit Rock Women’s trip to visit her in Cape Town in late October 2025.
If you think you might be interested in a trip to South Africa this fall, we’ll meet on Sunday, March 30th right after the 10:30 service in Room 112. This info session will be about 30 minutes long and there is no obligation to sign up. Please join us to hear more!
I love my church so much and am so blessed to be a part of this community of believers.
Following Jesus with you all has been one of the most amazing experiences of my life!
I’m so grateful for you.
