New Backpacks & Volunteers Needed!
The Backpack Bash is an annual collaborative effort involving more than 70 local churches, businesses, nonprofits, and school and government partners to support thousands of families across El Paso County. 
Every student receives a free backpack with new school supplies, and families get to interact with all kinds of organizations built to support them year-round.
The Backpack Bash will occur on July 29th and August 5th, right as the school year kicks off. This effort will serve 12,000 students in our community and you can help! Our greatest need as we approach this event is new backpacks and event volunteers.If you have a heart for kids and families, would you consider purchasing a new backpack to donate and signing up to volunteer?
How to donate a backpack:
- Kids Min and PRiSM are partnering with COS I Love You again this year to collect backpacks for kids in our community! Please bring new, high-quality backpacks to help our Kids and Students reach their goal of collecting 100 backpacks!
- Drop off location: Gathering Place or with Kids Ministry/Student check-in.
- Purchase a backpack (or more than one!) on our Walmart Wishlist anytime and have it sent directly to the COSILoveYou Office – CLICK HERE
- Between now and mid-July, purchase a backpack and head to any one of our community drop off locations to donate – CLICK HERE
- From July 5th-15th visit your local Walmart, purchase a backpack and drop that backpack in the Backpack Bash bin right at the front of the store.
