To the LGBT community, my heart breaks with you. I can only imagine how scared you must feel. Christ grieves with you.
To the Muslim American community, who stand against violence like this, I know the pain of having people commit all kinds of words and acts while claiming to follow my God. I pray for your safety.
And to those who celebrate and promote and commit violence, know that you have lost. Evil has been defeated. The King came and died and rose again to announce that God will one day restore all things to himself, and that a new kingdom is coming, one life at a time.
There is still a new day coming where the lion will lay down with the lamb. Even so, I pray that you come to know the forgiveness and grace that comes only through Christ.
