If you’ve ever tripped over combat boots, needed to shine shoes, leave on a last minute TDY, missed birthdays or anniversaries: you’ve likely to experienced military life. We’ve signed up to move often and with little notice, uproot family from friends & schools, and send off our loved ones to some of the most hostile areas of the world for months and years at a time. And we volunteer for it. We’re military.
There’s something that only other people who live this life understand. It’s a bond that automatically links you to other military and military family. When my husband deployed a couple months ago, I had numerous people approach me after church, introducing themselves – I never knew so many military were sitting right next to me each Sunday!
With 5 military bases in our area, there sure are a lot of us. However, that doesn’t mean we know each other.
Join us Friday for a casual gathering of the military family within PRC. We can only serve and lean on each other if we know each other!
