Let the little children come to me.
We see things happening in society that we don’t understand and they impact the way we react and protect our own families. We put up walls around our families and do everything we can to isolate ourselves from society and the problems that we see. We cannot do that in Colorado Springs. Our city needs us. Our children need us.read more

We have been focusing on prayer once a month with our kids and leaders in Kingdom Kids during our large group worship time. Our hope is that God will use the prayer net to begin conversations with kids and their leaders, parents or friends about prayer.read more
Last year in late October I found myself wanting to do something to celebrate Advent. Something other than a chocolate advent calendar or simply waiting until my girls (then 9 months and 2 ½ years old) were “old enough to understand Advent.” That was when a fellow Pulpit Rock mom introduced me to Truth in the Tinsel.read more
God’s truth for appropriate age development
fun environments for kids to celebrate
parents participate in their child’s spiritual journey
1. Teach God’s Truth for appropriate age development
- God made everything
- God loves me
- Jesus wants to be my friend forever
- God’s word is truth
- I can trust God no matter what
- I can choose to follow Christ
2. Create fun environments for kids to celebrate
3. Help parents participate in their child’s spiritual journey
We invite ALL parents to regularly be present in their child’s class so they may experience the learning environment together. Because we believe spiritual growth comes through serving, we also encourage parents to serve in our children’s ministry.
We focus on supporting parents to:
- have spiritual conversations with their child
- teach their child to pray and trust God
- help their child hear and respond to the Word of God
- point their child to a true identity in Christ
- lead their child in living out his faith to serve others
Ages: Birth to 35 months
Our nursery/toddler ministry provides quality care and security while helping each child feel loved, showing them that church is a safe place. With qualified leadership, the paid staff and ministry partners lovingly nurture each and every child. We want to inspire confidence that your little ones will be safe and well cared for while you attend worship services, and to make your child’s first church experiences happy and positive. Our Toddlers are introduced to a more intentional learning environment with age-appropriate Bible story time, songs, art, prayer, and play.
Ages: 3 & 4 years
Preschool-age children experience a creative learning environment designed to introduce them to God’s Word and their Savior, Jesus. Children are divided by age into small groups where they can experience community through an interactive Bible story time, music, art, prayer, and play.
Ages: 5 years old to 3rd grade
Kingdom Kids is a fresh, age-appropriate, worship experience for kids! Teachers challenge kids to grow in their faith through Bible stories, music, puppets, skits, and games. Adult Shepherds provide guidance and individual attention as kids are encouraged to make friends during small group play and interaction. Parents and guardians are always welcome to participate in either Shepherding, behind-the-scenes work, teaching, or leading worship.
Ages: 4th & 5th grade
Extreme is designed to meet the needs of 4th and 5th graders and help them make a smooth transition into Middle School. Bible teaching and discussion challenge them to own their faith and continue to grow spiritually. Through games and social activities, students develop a community of friends and caring adults. Service projects give them opportunities to make an impact in their world.
Ages: 3 years to 4th grade
Kids need Biblical community just as much (if not more) than adults do. Friends are an important part of their lives, and their peers will influence their life decisions. Our small groups follow the curriculum provided by AWANA clubs. Friendships are forged as kids participate in activities, games, and learn about God and the Bible—together.
